Ep 169 Weekly Video Diary
Video Diary | Narrowboat Vlog | Sun 31 Feb I want to go for a walk on some ‘proper’ pavement rather than the muddy footpath. Glenn attempts to fix the wheelbarrow tyre but there is a big hole in the inner tube. I make a website for vloggl in the evening, you can check it out at https://vloggl.com/
Video Diary | Narrowboat Vlog | Mon 1 Feb Glenn heads to Northampton. I go for a walk and dodge the cars and lorries while walking on the road. I step onto a muddy path and then get impaled by a large thorn which went through the sole of my boot and into my foot. It takes over 20 minutes of standing on one foot in the mud to remove the thorn! I was very sad! I soon cheered up when Glenn came home and brought with him an Amazon delivery, it was a gift from Louise from @NB Changing Pace – it was a game called Sequence. I am really looking forward to playing this!

Later in the day, I cook a creamy lentil dish from Hello Fresh – it wasn’t one of my favourites. We release the second episode of Vloggl and Glenn, Dave and Jeff have another Engine Room Chat.
Video Diary | Narrowboat Vlog | Tues 2 Feb It is Layla’s 3rd Birthday today, I am sad that we won’t be seeing her but we do get to say ‘Happy Birthday’ on FaceTime. Glenn rememberers his Dad who would have also celebrated his birthday today. We head into Leighton Buzzard as Glenn needs to pick something up from the shops, I take the opportunity to do some urban walking. We discover there is a market in the town and I come across a zero-waste stall, which is good to see, it’s called The Good Life Refill and you can check it out at www.thegoodliferefill.com When we get back to the boat we play Sequence which is the game Louise gave me for my Birthday, it was simple to pick up and fun to play, Glenn won the first two games. I don’t fancy cooking the Hello Fresh meal tonight so we have jacket potatoes with tuna mayo instead. In the evening I watch some narrowboat vlogs for next weeks Vloggl.
Video Diary | Narrowboat Vlog | Wed 3 Feb We head over to my mums to pick up our Hello Fresh box and to have Fish and Chip lunch. My new ’standing desk’ arrives and I am very impressed with it. Video Diary |
Narrowboat Vlog | Thur 4 Feb Our daughter is going into hospital today for an operation, I feel edgy so we decide to get out of the boat and distract ourselves. We head to McDonald’s for breakfast and then we drop off some Christmas and Birthday Presents to Harry. It was sad that we couldn’t go in and spend some time with them but we waved hello from the driveway. I spend the afternoon watching more vlogs for vloggl and then cook a delicious Hello Fresh dinner.
Video Diary | Narrowboat Vlog | Fri 5 Feb We pick up the Lingovie Cards from the printers. We are really excited to see them.
Video Diary | Narrowboat Vlog | Sat 6 Feb Jules Fuels can’t get to us because the lock is still shut. We managed to pick up a delivery that is dropped off at Mirimar’s boat. The weather forecast is for heavy snow so we head to the shops for some supplies just in case we get snowed in.
