Video Diary | Narrowboat Vlog | Sun 7 March Glenn picked up a petrol trimmer and a petrol hedge trimmer which he hopes to fix and resell. I go for a walk, taking my life in my own hands, along the path where I had the boot/thorn/foot incident. Mirimar pops round and we sort out seeds for the veg box. I cook one of my favourite Hello Fresh meals Thyme Roast Chicken. Check out the recipe https://fave.co/3rsIVjU

Video Diary | Narrowboat Vlog | Mon 8 March Glenn puts up a new washing line and even though it is a grey cold day I take great delight in hanging the washing out. I go for a walk and explore a new route, the path gets smaller as I walk under the trees but it eventually comes out in the village. Glenn picks up some shopping on his way home and I meet him with the trolley, glad to get in a few more steps. Glenn brings home an odd little drawer he found in an abandoned storage unit. He fits it in the back of the boat. Glenn also tells me he has donated to my Just Giving page. Ep 7 of Vloggl launches and I cook Hello Fresh Sausage and Mash with Balsamic Gravy. Check out the recipe https://fave.co/3bt5G1u

Video Diary | Narrowboat Vlog | Tues 9 March We both head to Northampton, I meet with my friend Tara at Pitsford Water and give her the pack of Lingovie cards so she can amend them. Glenn has a sort out at the office, unfortunately, the moped that he sold to Lewis has got a flat battery. We head back to the boat and Glenn picks up a bike that was given to him. After installing new brackets for one of the solar panels Glenn takes the bike out for a spin along the towpath and I go for my second walk of the day. My legs are starting to feel very tired now! I am hoping I will have walked 7 miles by the end of the day. I resist cake when I get back and enjoy some carrot sticks with hummus before making dinner. I make homemade Donner kebabs with celeriac fries and salad for dinner before settling down to watch celebrity bake-off.

Video Diary | Narrowboat Vlog | Wed 10 March It’s Fish and Chip day – also known as ‘Visit Mum Day’ We head off to Wellingborough to see mum and enjoy Fish and Chips. After yesterdays blue skies we were taken aback by the cold wind and rain that was buffeting the boat. I return from my mums with a couple of bags of deliciousness.

Video Diary | Narrowboat Vlog | Thur 11 March It was a very windy night, I woke up to find the chimney hat on the grass next to the boat and someones shed roof floating by. The gaskets for the petrol strimmer arrive and Glenn puts it back together while I go out for a wild, windy walk. We receive to parcels in the post, one was from Keith, Vina’s grandson and it contains 3 beautiful headscarves and a birthday card. The next parcel contained amazing hand-knitted Lisa and Glenn dolls, they were from Allison and Ian from @nb_picapica in Lancashire, Allison had also included £5 sponsorship for my marathon. We were simply blown away by the generosity and kindness.

Video Diary | Narrowboat Vlog | Fri 12 March With a busy weekend ahead Glenn does not have that Friday feeling. He is pallbearer for two funerals and heads off to the crematorium. He gets a call to say the van is ready and this cheers him up! I make a Beef and Ale casserole for dinner. Video Diary | Narrowboat Vlog | Sat 13 March It is Glenn’s mums birthday so we take down presents gathered from the family, and some lunch, before heading back to the boat.
