Video Diary | Narrowboat Vlog | Sun 22 Feb

We head over to Wellingborough to see my mum, I cook a roast dinner and we play Sequence the board game. We pick Glenn car up and we are delighted to see that the garage had cleaned it. I go for a long walk with Chloe and get back to the boat in the dark. After fiddling with the padlock for 5 minutes I realise I need to keep a torch in my car! *Sequence Game https://amzn.to/2YBvdOJ

Video Diary | Narrowboat Vlog | Mon 23 Feb I left my car interior light on overnight but fortunately, the car still started. I spent most of the day at the boat working only breaking up the day with a walk. It was good to see that the ground is starting to dry up even though we had rain earlier. There are quite a few amends to the Lingovie cards needed but that has to wait till another day, as my time today is spent on vloggl. Not only am I getting Ep 5 ready to air but we are working on a new channel. Glenn brings home a mystery purchase – it turns out to be a record player – a record player!!!! Where is that going to go? I got to make a Hello Fresh meal but the meat had gone off, I improvise with some leftover beef but the results were poor at best. Boris set out his plan for us to leave lockdown, key dates were 8th March kids go back to school, 28th March we can meet up with up to 6 people (or two households) and from the 21 June, all being well, we should be able to mix in larger groups.

Video Diary | Narrowboat Vlog | Tues 23 February Glenn drops the van off at the garage and I go and pick him up. I am still not completely sure of my way around and I take a wrong turn at a roundabout. I pop into a supermarket and pick up a couple of bits for dinner. Mr W is a pallbearer again, this time at Milton Keynes Crematorium. We cook a Hello Fresh meal of speedy sausage pasta, it was delicious. https://fave.co/3pP0hWn We speak to our friends Jo, Niall, Sara and Paul. The wind picks up and takes the chimney hat off, Glenn is worried about his hatches.

Video Diary | Narrowboat Vlog | Wed 24 Feb Exciting news! I may be able to look after three of our grandchildren on Friday as both their parents are working. We take a detour on the way to my mums but I enjoy the drive through the countryside. Me and mum enjoy Fish and Chips for lunch while Glenn goes to Debbies to make some modifications to the van.

Video Diary | Narrowboat Vlog | Thur 25 Feb We spend the day at the boat. Glenn helps Jeff fit 2 cleats to hold the midline. Glenn makes some upgrades to the wiring in the back of the boat. He also moves the solar panel control box and has a general tidy up of all the wires. I go out for my daily walk and I can tell Spring is on the way.

Video Diary | Narrowboat Vlog | Fri 26 Feb I am up early and head to Northampton to be part of a childcare bubble with 3 of my grandchildren. I take some craft stuff and we have a lovely day. Glenn stays at the boat all day and cracks on with all the jobs – he does all the washing, puts may teapot bird feeder up, puts the picture up from Debbie and Steve. We play online Sequence and Uno with our friends Jeff and Sally.

Video Diary | Narrowboat Vlog | Sat 27 Feb It is a stunning day! Mr W installs my car kit, years ago Glenn worked as a service engineer for Vodafone and this is what he did as a living. We went to Morrisons and I got one of their £15 meal deals and I picked up a pot of chilli jam to do a taste test. I share how I make my sausage rolls.
