It was a gentle festive week. We edged closer to Christmas. The week was full of cosy moments, changing plans, and that lovely feeling of slowing down. There were a few weather-led detours. We had a windy trip to Cornwall and rainy admin days. The odd plan was put on pause. But the real highlight was Totnes’ final Christmas market. Watching the lantern parade wind its way through the streets from the flat window was truly magical. There was such a warm, community buzz in the air. With work finished for the break, the days softened into festive baking and wardrobe sorting. We devoted time to charity shop shifts and winter walks, including a sensible retreat from some curious cows. All those small, satisfying moments made the run-up to Christmas feel calm and special.
