We make our way down the Aylesbury Arm. I thought we were tackling 19 locks but it turns out there was only 16. I love this stretch of canal, and arriving in the Aylesbury basin at the end of the day is always a delight. Aylesbury is my place of birth so it feels like coming home. We received a lovely warm welcome from the Aylesbury Trip Boat as we arrived.

The Aylesbury Arm has a reputation for being very weedy but we only encountered excessive weed at one lock.
