Hello, I’m Lisa — and this is A Life Full of Meaning.
This space grew from a simple desire to live more intentionally and to notice the ordinary moments that make up a life.
I’m a wife, a mum to grown-up children, a grandmother, and a part-time communications officer. I’ve been married to Glenn for getting on for 40 years. He puts up with my many (often slightly mad) ideas, supports every new adventure, and is very much my steady hand and biggest cheerleader.
I’ve lived long enough to know that life doesn’t need to be louder, faster, or shinier to be good. In fact, I’ve found the opposite is often true. A Life Full of Meaning is about slowing down, choosing less, and finding joy in what’s already here.
Alongside all of this, there’s another deeply important reason I do what I do: I’m documenting my life for my grandchildren.
In a world where photos live fleetingly on phones and memories can so easily be lost, this space has become a kind of living photo album — a record of our days, our voices, our homes, our routines, and the small moments that make a family story. I want them to be able to look back and see what life really looked like. Not just the highlights, but the in-between bits too, the walks, the meals, the laughter, the weather, the ordinary Tuesdays. The texture of a life, as it was being lived.
Here you’ll find reflections on everyday life, gentle routines, home-cooked food, walks and adventures close to home, sustainable living, creativity, and the quiet satisfaction of making do and making time. I share our daily and weekly vlogs, recipes, and reflections drawn from lived experience rather than perfection.
I don’t believe in hustle culture or having it all figured out. I believe in showing up, paying attention, and allowing life to be both messy and wonderful. I believe meaning is built slowly, through relationships, shared meals, conversations, walks, curiosity, and kindness.
This isn’t about striving for an ideal life. It’s about creating a life that feels honest, nourishing, and true – and leaving a gentle record of that life behind.
If you’re craving a reminder that you’re not behind, or simply a companion for the journey, you’re very welcome here.
Thank you for being part of this little corner of the internet.
With love,
Lisa x
