Mr Warner finally gets his mobile phone insurance sorted out and a new phone is on its way. Vicki and Mike, who watch our videos visit us and bring me a really thoughtful gift. It is a tray to keep map books, mobile phones, and tablets safe while cruising, it also has space to hold our drinks. It is beautifully made and will be really useful when we are cruising. Around 12pm we were surprised to see a boat come through the lock and delighted to hear that the lock was fixed.
We set off up the Aylesbury arm just after 3pm. I was nervous about tackling the staircase lock from this direction as previously we had had a bad experience last time. All worked out wonderfully and before we knew it we were back on the Grand Union and heading back to our Ivinghoe mooring.
